OT Twitter Accounts You Need to Follow!

Staying connected to prominent occupational therapists and organizations is easy using social media and OT Twitter accounts.

Twitter provides a simple and efficient platform for OTs and therapy organizations to provide concise, informative, and thought-provoking therapy information. For those of you who, like myself, have been living under a rock for the last few years, Twitter has gained traction as a primary avenue to disseminate information.

Grant Mitchel MOTR/L is devoted to improving occupational therapists’ access to the newest research and developments in the field. Grant has teamed up with NGOT to provide this comprehensive list of OT Twitter accounts (the movers and shakers in the OT world)! We would also like to thank Dominic Lloyd-Randolfi, OT/s for his contributions to this list, and for all his hard work and efforts.

Grant! This turned out super awesome! Why do you think so many state associations don’t have a Twitter account? Seems like an easy enough thing to do…

I think this is a good start. The next draft should have some organization related edits (some in my opinion are in the wrong categories). Otherwise, it is a good list to start. Maybe next time your draft should include a few sentences on why you include these people or organizations on the lists.

May I suggest a category for Private Practice OT’s? Great List

I was wondering why my state association doesn’t have a Twitter account. I decided because it’s up to us to start them. I would like to approach my state organization about starting one!

Bill! I think that is so true, it’s helpful to have all the feedback we have gotten so far. I like the idea that this is not a static list, but rather one that can change, and hopefully now with the guidance of the masters πŸ™‚

Quite open to feedback regarding the accessibility and ease of use scrolling through the list too! Thanks!
